Brief

Tannery wastewaters are highly complex and are characterized by high contents of organic, inorganic and nitrogenous compounds, chromium, sulfides, suspended solids and dissolved solids. Tanneries generate wastewater in the range of 30-35 liter per kg of skin/hide processed with variable pH and high concentrations of suspended solids, BOD, COD, tannins including chromium.

Case Study:

Challenge:

One of the Tannery CETP in India was willing to reduce the volume of existing Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant rejects to optimize MEE operations.

Solution:

ROCHEM offered to install and operate High Pressure PT-RO Membrane system to handle highly concentrated and difficult wastewater.
