Tannery wastewaters are highly complex and are characterized by high contents of organic, inorganic and nitrogenous compounds, chromium, sulfides, suspended solids and dissolved solids. Tanneries generate wastewater in the range of 30-35 liter per kg of skin/hide processed with variable pH and high concentrations of suspended solids, BOD, COD, tannins including chromium.

With a vast experience and more than 50 installations in Tannery industry, ROCHEM offers superior technologies and integrated solutions for wastewater treatment.
