Brief

Distillery is one of the most growth-oriented industries in India. As per the Ministry of Environment and Forests, distilleries are listed at the top in the “Red Category” industries owing to its huge wastewater generation. Further Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has also stipulated very stringent norms for proper disposal of the spent wash to ensure zero liquid discharge.

One of the leading Distillery in India was treating spent wash in MEE which was consuming heavy OpEx for their daily operations.

Solution:

ROCHEM proposed the solution for spent wash treatment which not only recovered recyclable water but also reduced the volumes fed to MEE.
